Important Notice – Program Eligibility
The GHCWCA 1-Day Certification Workshops are not entry-level training programs. These accelerated certification pathways are designed exclusively for currently employed healthcare professionals and new graduates of accredited programs who have already completed their entry-level education.
Eligible participants include:
- Currently employed healthcare staff who meet the listed requirements for each workshop (Surgical Technologists, Phlebotomy Staff, Medical Assistants).
- New graduates of accredited Surgical Technology, Phlebotomy, or Medical Assisting programs who hold a certificate of completion or diploma from their school.
If you have not yet completed an accredited program of study, please refer to your local accredited community college, trade school, or allied health program to receive the full foundational training and externship hours necessary for new entrants to the healthcare field.
Purpose of the Workshops
These programs were created in response to the global healthcare workforce shortage and the urgent demand for credentialed, qualified staff in hospitals, research facilities, and surgical centers.
The workshops serve as a bridge between healthcare facilities and competent professionals, ensuring that staff and recent graduates can:
- Obtain or maintain certification in alignment with ISO/IEC 17024, WHO workforce standards, HIPAA, FDA, and OSHA compliance requirements.
- Demonstrate professional competency through both a computer-based examination and a practical, hands-on skills evaluation.
- Receive global recognition that surpasses national credentials, ensuring international mobility and employability.
Why GHCWCA Certification?
- Not for beginners — designed for those with verified experience or program completion.
- Accelerated 1-day format provides immediate certification and registry listing.
- Globally recognized credential that carries greater prestige than national certifications.
- Addresses workforce shortages by helping healthcare employers close staffing gaps with certified, competent professionals.
